No one should lose their home because they cannot pay their property Tax. I believe that by controlling the County's budget we can eventually reduce tax requirements of the county's Citizens.
Governments should not incur debt, this burdens future generations without their consent. We need to balance our budget and reduce the $26 Million that Schuylkill County is carrying in debt.
The county must improve its ability to provide services to the County's nearly 10,000 veterans.
Less and less people are able to attend the commissioner meetings due to the timing. We need to change this completely. All meetings need to be when people are able to come and they should be televised and recorded for all to see.
Correcting blight in our communities should start with your neighbor. Blight happens over time and we should be working within our neighborhoods to restore our community. It should only be a last resort that would require government intervention.
We need to find ways to improve County services. Although the county recently updated their website they are still lacking in services that they could provide online without requiring people to come to the Court House.
The Integrity and Honor of the Commissioner's office has been tarnished the last few years. It is time to get new voices and new ideas in the office while restoring the Honor and Integrity that it once held.
